Abruzzo

Abruzzi (Abruzzo) is an eastern Italian province that remains insignificant in terms of the fine wine market although quantitatively it is important, accounting for approximately 8% of Italy's production (2006).  A still dominant cooperative industry relies on the largely humble Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grape for its wines.
