Christmas Delivery, Terms & Conditions

UK Delivery

FREE UK* DELIVERY for orders placed before 12pm on 1st December 2009. 

  • Thereafter standard delivery terms apply – free delivery for all orders of £200 or more per UK address, otherwise delivery is charged at £10 per UK address. Deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles and some areas of Scotland will incur a special delivery charge. 
  • *Save £10 on the usual delivery charges to addresses in Northern Ireland, The Isle of Man, The Isle of Wight, The Isles of Scilly and some areas of Scotland. Free delivery is not offered to these areas.
  • We cannot deliver to addresses without postcodes. Postcodes must be included with every delivery address. 
  • Inaccurate postcodes may delay delivery. We cannot deliver to PO Box addresses or BFPO addresses. Please include a daytime telephone
    number for the recipients of your gifts. 

Deliveries of less than £100 per delivery address will be accepted for our range of pre-selected Berrys’ Christmas Gift Parcels. Please note that we reserve the right to charge for re-delivery of orders that have not been completed due to incorrect address information supplied by the customer.

Collection

If you wish to collect parcels from our London or Basingstoke shops please indicate on the order form. Orders can be collected until 12pm Thursday 24th  December 2009.


Christmas Delivery Dates

To guarantee delivery in the UK by Christmas, orders must be received before midday on Monday 21st December*

  • Whilst not guaranteed, orders will still be accepted after this date and every effort will be made to deliver prior to Christmas. 
  • Customers are advised to place their orders by phone to receive the latest delivery information. 
  • Parcels indicated on the order form for Christmas delivery will be despatched from Tuesday 1st December**
  • During this busy period we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates or times and are not able to advise recipients of impending deliveries. 
  • It is therefore very important to complete the Special Delivery Instruction Box (e.g. If not in please leave with neighbour at Number 43/in garden shed…..) and to provide a contact number at the delivery address.

Food Hampers

All orders for Food Hampers must be received by midday on Monday 21st December*. Please ensure recipients are aware that their gifts will
be arriving or advise a neighbour with whom the packs can be left. Please indicate any instructions/requests in the Special Delivery Instruction Box.

*Guaranteed delivery dates may be earlier for parcels being delivered to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles and some areas of Scotland.


Overseas Delivery

We deliver worldwide using a network of experienced wine shippers and couriers, subject to individual country’s rules on the importation of alcohol. Export orders are subject to a minimum value of £100 (excluding delivery charges) per delivery address. 

  • Overseas orders may be liable to import taxes in the destination country, which the recipient shall be liable for unless paid in advance at time of placing the order. Deliveries to non-EU countries are subject to customs clearance which is outside our control. We accept no liability for delays caused by customs authorities.
  •  All overseas orders are packed in polystyrene export cartons for safe transit; if you also require us to send Berrys’ Gift Packaging with your order please notify us when placing your order. 
  • We regret that we are not able to send any parcels containing foodstuffs outside the UK.

Corporate Orders

  • For multi-delivery corporate orders where parcels are to arrive at a business address by Friday 18th December, orders must be received by 6pm on Thursday 10th December
  • For multi-delivery corporate orders to arrive by Christmas the orders must be received by midday on Friday 18th December

Substitutions and Pricing

  • All items shown in the catalogue are offered subject to stocks remaining unsold. 
  • To avoid delay in the processing of your order, Berry Bros. & Rudd reserves the right to substitute wines of a similar value should an ‘out of stock’ situation arise. 
  • All prices are inclusive of VAT and packaging.

Berrys' Gift Packaging

  • The Berrys’ Gift Packaging range includes our navy and white boxes made from superior quality card, stained pine boxes with traditional rope handles and wicker baskets. The gifts are presented as indicated beneath their respective descriptions. 
  • Please note that the Fine Single Malts gift does not include gift packaging.
  • All purchases of wines and spirits and other goods and services from Berry Bros. & Rudd are subject to Berry Bros. & Rudd’s standard terms of sale in addition to the terms stated above or in this brochure. 
  • You may have a right to cancel any order. Please refer to the standard terms and conditions for further details.
  • We regret that we are unable to accept customers’ own Christmas cards to be sent in. If you would like to send greetings with your parcel, your message will be printed on a Berry Bros. & Rudd Christmas card and despatched with your gift
