Still Life - Issue 1: Aug 2007
Welcome to the first edition of Still Life, our quarterly newsletter
designed to keep you up to date with all the latest spirits news and releases
from Berry Bros. & Rudd.
We are pleased to report that we have been busy introducing Berrys' Own Selection
Spirits to new overseas markets this year. Our products are now enjoyed as
far away as New Zealand, where Whisky Galore is looking after the
distribution, and we hope to have listings soon in Norway and Australia
too.
I had the privilege to visit Japan earlier this year at the time of Whisky
Live Tokyo and met with several key importers, many of whom are now
actively working with Berrys. I travelled with my great friend and mentor,
John Milroy; we were treated very courteously and extend our gratitude
to all those we met on this fascinating trip. Closer to home, I was delighted
to conduct a couple of Whisky tastings in March with The Wine Shop in
Leek, Staffordshire and The Wee Dram in Bakewell, Derbyshire. Both
events were sold out and the level of knowledge possessed by many of those who
attended was impressive.
We have lots of new products in the pipeline including: 1991
Bruichladdich (46%), 1996 Bowmore (46%), 1996 Arran (46%),
1975 Glen Elgin (46%), 1997 Dalmore (46%), 1991
Auchentoshan (46%), and 1974 Blair Athol (46%).
