Nick Page

Nick Page, Manager

During a high-flying City career Nick Page caught the wine bug and decided to leave the world of finance to join the world of wine in 1995. For 8 years he was the winebuyer and senior lecturer at the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), educators to the wine trade.

Nick joined Berrys in 2005 as Manager of our Bin End Shop. However, as well as utilising Nick's business acumen we also make good use of his expansive wine knowledge, particularly his food and wine matching expertise, and he is one of our most popular Wine Educators.

Adrian Lancer

Adrian Lancer, Sales Assistant

Adrian Lancer, known to all as 'Rocky', began his career in the wine trade working part-time in his local Wine Rack whilst studying for a Transport and Planning Degree in Oxford. Having caught the wine bug, the degree was ditched and he started full time at Berrys in October 2005. Initially working in Berrys' London Shop, then in our (now closed) Heathrow shops, before moving to our wholesale arm - Fields, Morris & Verdin - for a four year stint. Adrian joined the Bin End Shop in May 2010, shortly after completing his WSET Diploma in Wines & Spirits.

An avid transport enthusiast, when not working Adrian enjoys travelling around the UK (and Germany) and often helps out colleagues with any travel questions they have, whether in the UK or abroad. Adrian loves all wines, but has a particular passion for those from Germany, Alsace and Austria, and all things sweet, and spirits too! An extensive list, but his all encompassing enthusiasm for everything vinous serves our customers very well indeed

Alex Ross

Alex Ross, Sales Assistant

Home for Glaswegian Alex was down the Clyde at Bowling, home to Littlemill, a classic Lowland Malt which claimed to be Scotland's oldest legal distillery and now is producer of our own-label Best Lowland Malt. Whilst Scotch Whisky was not quite mother’s milk, Alex has acquired an extensive knowledge and passion for all spirits.

He first began working at Berrys in 1997 in our (now closed) Heathrow Airport shops and 10 years later, in 2007, joined the Bin End Shop team. As well as spirits, he is also particularly passionate about Port and Madeira, as well the red table wines of Portugal’s Douro and Bairrada. And with a whole clan of New Zealand relatives he knows a thing or two about the wines from down under too.

Julien LePevedic

Julien Le Pévédic, Sales Assistant

Julien developed a keen interest for wine during his 11 years spent in the catering industry. In September 2007 he gave up the late nights to work for a High Street wine merchant in order to learn the basics of the wine trade. After rapidly advancing through the ranks, Julien joined the Bin End Shop team in May 2010 to share his expertise with our customers and to continue his WSET education.

Julien’s favourite wine-growing regions are Left Bank Bordeaux and South Africa.

Sam Orchard, Sales Assistant

Sam Orchard, Sales Assistant

Coming from Majestic Wine, where he spent three years working his way up through the ranks, Sam has a keen enthusiasm for classic Bordeaux and top-end Californians, and a passion for Grande Marque Champagnes. When not at work Sam can be found enjoying a round of golf at any number of local Hampshire courses.

Sean Lyster, Sales Assistant

Sean Lyster, Sales Assistant

Leaving the University of Surrey with a degree in graphic design, Sean joined Berrys logistics team in 2007. Embarking on the WSET programme he developed an increasing enthusiasm for all things wine but in particular the science of viticulture and vinification. After successfully passing the WSET Advanced Certificate examination, he joined the Bin End Shop in June 2012. The red wines of Bordeaux, whites of Burgundy and the wines of Alsace and Germany are of particular interest.

Leon Reilly, Part Time Sales Assistant

Leon Reilly, Part Time Sales Assistant

With a family home on the Bordeaux Right Bank, Leon has grown up with a passion for wine. Years later he still delights in discovering the region's Petits Châteaux. After graduating with a politics degree from Bristol, Leon worked in the world of Lobbying and PR before a decade of running his own photography business. Hanging up his camera, he completed WSET qualifications in his spare time and now be works at Berrys.

Although weaned on Bordeaux, Leon's other favourite regions are California and the Cognac appellations. When not sharing his wine enthusiasm with whoever will listen to him, Leon can be found spending time with his partner and two small children.
