Long Lunches in the Long Room
Steeped in historical splendour, Berrys’ Long Room in Pickering Place, just behind the old shop front at 3 St James’s Street, provides the location for a truly unique gastronomic experience.
Here’s where you’ll find first-class food and wine, combined with top-notch service, in the heart of London’s West End. Pickering Place is London’s smallest public square and the site of the last sword-wielding duel in London. It is also home to Berrys’ historically important William and Mary townhouse where, in the elegant surroundings of Berrys’ Long Room, you can treat up to 14 friends or colleagues to four courses, cheese, coffee and accompanying wines for around £125 per head.
Berrys’ head chef, Stewart Turner, has created some impressive seasonal menus, and a Berrys’ expert will help match wines to meet your specific requirements (see example menu opposite). A Wine Advisor will also be responsible for overseeing all the details on the day, allowing you uninterrupted enjoyment of the food, wine, surroundings and your guests.
Meet our Head Chef, Stewart Turner
Stewart joined Berrys at the beginning of 2008 and heads a team of four talented chefs. Together they cook for a variety of different events – from large canapé receptions and dinners in Berrys’ Napoleon Cellar to more intimate dinners and luncheons in Berrys’ Delft and Long Rooms. Stewart comes with several top restaurants under his belt including The Waterside Inn at Bray (working alongside Michel Roux), The Connaught Hotel and The Wolseley.
