BBX Valuation Service

The BBX Valuation Service provides valuations for customers’ wines stored in Berrys’ temperature-controlled warehouses. Valuations are also available for En Primeur wines that have been purchased from Berrys.

Valuations can be found in Your Cellared Wines.

The BBX Valuation Service uses valuations from these sources;

• BBX Last Transaction Price
• Berrys' In Bond Last Transaction Price
• Liv-ex Lowest List Price
• Liv-ex Last Transaction price
• Liv-ex Auction Average Price
• Wine-Searcher Lowest List Price

The  BBX Valuation is designed to;

• Provide valuations for customers who have wine(s) stored in Berrys’ temperature-controlled warehouse and for customers who have purchased En Primeur wines from Berrys.

• To assist BBX sellers in setting an achievable and realistic selling price for their wines when posting wines for sale on BBX.

Please note: Valuations from third parties such as Liv-ex and Wine Searcher are indicative and are to help sellers price their wines for sale sensibly. Berrys take no responsibility for the accuracy of externally sourced valuations.  All valuations based on 12 x 75 cl case formats unless otherwise specified.

About Liv-ex

• BBX Lowest List Price
  This is the lowest and cheapest BBX list price for a wine within the past 30 days. This is updated each time a new wine is added to BBX.

• BBX Last Transaction Price
  The  BBX Last Transaction Price relates to the most recent trade for a wine that has taken place on BBX within the past 30 days.

• Berrys' Last In Bond Transaction Price
  The Berrys' Last In Bond Transaction Price relates to the most recent Berrys' In Bond transaction within the past 30 days.

• Liv-ex Auction Average Price
  Liv-ex collects Auction Prices from seven major houses, covering auctions held in the US, Europe and Asia in the past 30 days. All prices include the buyer’s premium but exclude sales tax and duty. This data is refreshed daily on bbr.com.

• Liv-ex Lowest List Price
  The Liv-ex Lowest List Price is the lowest and cheapest price for any wine offered on a merchant’s price list (collected by Liv-ex) in the past 30-days. It is designed to show the lowest in bond case price a purchaser could expect to pay for stock during the past 30 days. This data is refreshed daily on bbr.com

• Liv-ex Average List Price
  The Average Liv-ex Price is the mean price for that wine and unit size from all the wine merchant lists received by Liv-ex in the last 30-days. i.e Price & quantity for each list offer, divided by total quantity offered (so taking account of the volume available of each list price). This data is refreshed daily on bbr.com

• Liv-ex Last Transaction Price
  The last Liv-ex Transaction Price relates to the most recent trade that has taken place on the Liv-ex Fine Wine Exchange within the past 30 days. This data is refreshed daily on bbr.com

• Wine-Searcher Lowest List Price
  The Wine Searcher lowest List Price is the lowest and cheapest price for any wine currently offered on a UK merchant’s price list (collected by Wine Searcher). These are In Bond case prices and exclude duty & VAT.

  The Wine Searcher Average List Price is the average price for any wine currently offered on a UK merchant’s price list (collected by Wine Searcher). These are In Bond case price and exclude duty & VAT.
