Why start a Cellar Plan?
Well the truth is, if you invest a bit of time and money now, you'll end up drinking better wines in the future. The Cellar Plan is all about buying wine while it's young for drinking at its peak.

Are there wines exclusively available to Cellar Plan holders?
Yes. On occasions Berry Bros. & Rudd will purchase wines which are then offered exclusively to Cellar Plan holders.

What is the normal amount cellar plan holders will be able pay in each month?
It varies. The minimum amount is £100. From £150 upwards we will be able to create a cellar tailored to your needs. We require a minimum of £250 a month if the cellar plan is for investment purposes.

Why can't I pay less than £100 per month?
We require monthly payments of at least £100 as anything less does not allow enough scope for the creation of a viable cellar.

Can I start a Cellar Plan without paying monthly installments?
No. The Cellar Plan scheme requires a monthly direct debit. However you can make additional payments at any time through the website or by telephone.

How much input do I have in my Cellar Plan?
Right from the start you'll have full control over what goes into your cellar. We'll call you to discuss your preferences and find out what you want to achieve from your Cellar Plan and we'll only purchase wines when you've approved our recommendations. As we get to know you better you may want to give us authority to purchase on your behalf, but until then the choice is all yours.

Can I view my Cellar plan wines online?
Yes - You can login to view your cellar plan wines, to make additional one off payments and to increase your monthly direct debit payments.

What is the difference between the Wine Club and the Cellar Plan?
The Wine Club delivers wine for everyday drinking direct to your door. The Cellar Plan is designed for customers who want to build up a structured cellar for future drinking and normally involves storing the wine with BB&R.

What are the storage charges for my Cellar Plan wines?
The majority of plan holders choose to store wine at Berry Bros. & Rudd's temperature-controlled cellars in Basingstoke. The cost is currently £9.00 (inc Vat) per dozen bottles (or the equivalent in other sizes) payable in advance.

How do Cellar Plan holders withdraw wines for delivery?
Cellar Plan holders wishing to withdraw wines from their Cellar Plans should allow between 3-5 days notice before despatch or collection. Delivery is free within the UK, provided the consignment is at least one case. Deliveries of less than a case are charged at £10 per consignment.
