Cellar Plan Investment Potential

A huge amount has been written recently on the investment potential of wine. Long-haul investment tends to centre on Bordeaux and it is fair to say that money can be made if you pick well, generally buy en primeur and have enough to spend in the first place (for investment purposes you're better off spending £1,000 on a case of a big name than buying five £200 cases).

See Wine Investment FAQS

However, as with any investment and the more so with wine which is not covered by any regulatory body, there is absolutely no guarantee that you will realise a profit. The only result that can be guaranteed with any confidence is a cellar full of wonderful wines.

If your main motive for creating a Cellar Plan is investment potential then you can be confident Berrys' Fine Wine Team will do its utmost to ensure success. It has the latest researched information to hand about fine wine prices and will be best placed to make a reliable decision of what is considered to be a best buy.

Quality, rarity, ageing potential and Robert Parker scores are the main factors influencing a wine's lasting value and it goes without saying that all these aspects are considered prior to a purchase being made.

If your plan is for investment purposes please indicate this when you apply for a Cellar Plan. Please note that you will be treated as a discretionary plan holder which means selections will be made on your behalf by Berrys' Cellar Plan Department.
