Cellar Plan Wine Storage

You can choose to have wine delivered to your own cellar as and when purchases are made. However the majority of Plan holders choose to store wine in-bond with Berry Bros. & Rudd in our state-of-the-art wine warehouse in Basingstoke, and there are many benefits to doing so:

Impreccable provenance
Storing wines in Berrys’ wine warehouse offers you the security of knowing that wines are being stored in perfect conditions. Their provenance will be impeccable, so if you choose to sell your wines later they’ll attract the highest price. In addition, it has the added advantage of making it simple for you to trade or sell stock back to us should you wish to at a later date
Fully insured
Insurance at your wines’ replacement market value is included in our storage costs. Many other wine storage facilities only offer insurance for the original purchase price of the wine
In bond storage
In bond refers to stock that is held exclusive of duty and VAT. It is particularly important to store wine in bond if you may want to sell stock in the future, or if you reside outside the UK (and may ship wine out of the country)
Withdrawing wines from bond
When wines are withdrawn, unless exported or transferred to another bond*, duty and VAT are charged at the prevailing rate. For wine, this currently equates to £19.26 per case for duty and 15% VAT on the original cost of your wine
*Please note that in bond transfers attract a £15 administrative charge
Delivery
Customers wishing to withdraw stock from their ‘Private Reserves’ should allow 3-5 days notice before despatch or collection. Delivery is free within mainland UK, provided the consignment is at least a case. Deliveries of less than a case are charged at £10.00 per consignment.Please note that deliveries to overseas or to Northern Ireland, The Isle of Man, The Isle of Wight, The Scilly Isles and some areas of Scotland may take longer and are subject to a surcharge.
