James Suckling on Bordeaux 2010

After reviewing close to 600 barrel samples, in his recent blog (dated 27th March 2011) James Suckling poses the question whether "Bordeaux 2010 will be better than 2009".

In his early assessment, published on www.jamessuckling.com , he states that
St Emilion on a whole is better in 2010 than 2009...In particular,  those wines with a higher percentage of Cabernet Franc have more precision and freshness than in 2009

With still more wines to taste, he remains "excited about the vintage" and predicts that "the 2010 vintage is definitely the new twin of 2009, and we are all going to be debating which is better, both vintages and wines".
