Tim Atkin's Verdict on Bordeaux 2010

"...Wine for the long haul, rather than a short sprint..."   Tim Atkin MW - May 2011

Just when you thought Bordeaux had run out of superlatives, along comes another great vintage, one that is arguably even better at the top end than last year’s ‘vintage of the century’.

Bordeaux 2010 might not have received as much hype in the non-specialist press – maybe the general public can only cope with so many stories about wonder harvests in the world’s largest fine wine region – but in its own way it is equally impressive and arguably the best ever vintage in the Gironde

Overall, this is a vintage for claret and white Bordeaux lovers, more classic than 2009, with the potential to age for longer in bottle. Even if you bought lots of 2009s, make room for some 2010s in your cellar.
