En Primeur

En Primeur, also known as Wine Futures, refers to the process of buying wine before it’s bottled and released onto the market. Wines can only be purchased by the unmixed case (12 bottles, 24 half bottles, 6 magnums) and are usually delivered 2-3 years after the vintage.

Available Vintages

Bordeaux En Primeur Red 2011

2014 Red Bordeaux
With yields back to average levels for most estates, showing a significant improvement on 2013 the reds of 2014 are rich and elegant with a balanced, cooling acidity and silky tannins. Approachable young, but with potential for aging.

Score: 8/10
Delivery: 2016
Boddeaux en primeur white 2011

2014 White Bordeaux
With very ripe fruit and highly effective acidity in some cases, the wines can be considered to be plump, generous, exotic and full of fruit. Some wines even have fresh, semi-tropical aromas, with lush stone-fruit and viscosity, but many also lack precision and definition on the palate, so the vintage falls somewhat short as a collective.

Score: 7/10

Burgundy En Primeur Red 2012

2013 Red Burgundy
Most red Burgundy wines in the 2013 vintage have good colour and very attractive bouquets, displaying ripe fruit aromatics.

Score: 8/10
Delivery: 2015
Burgundy En Primeur White 2012

2013 White Burgundy
Most whites of the 2013 have more character than 2011, and better balance than 2010 or 2012. The Chablis crop was particularly low but those wines picked in time are superb.
