	Full Bodied, Dry, Red, Cab.Sauvignon Blend, For laying down, 12.5% alc. Only 39% of production was used for the Grand Vin and with a whopping 90.5% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend the 2004 Lafite needs little introduction. This wine has one of the most exciting noses - intense, spicy, pure cassis and a generous helping of creamy vanilla. The palate is just as exciting, exhibiting terrific concentration and a hint of warm new oak which leads to an intense, linear core of lively blackcurrants and layers of intriguing minerality.The Cabernet was very evident on the finish with the variety's characteristically firm tannins taking over at the end, making this one for the long-term. 	Full Bodied, Dry, Red, Cab.Sauvignon Blend, Ready, but will keep, 12.5% alc. "In contrast to the 1993's penetrating, upfront aromas, the 1994 is closed aromatically. With coaxing, some truffle-like, sweet, black fruit aromas, as well as those of mineral/stones come forward. This spicy, full-bodied, powerful wine is a more masculine, structured effort than the 1993, with a potentially more complex, richer character. It is superbly crafted, beautifully balanced, and as pure as a wine can be. The integration of new oak, acidity, and tannin is commendable. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2025". (Clive Coates) MORE

	Medium-Full Bodied, Dry, Red, Cab.Sauvignon Blend, For laying down, 12.5% alc. Wines Lying in Barrel , Not available for delivery. This outstanding Haut-Brion may not have the opulence of Mouton or the sheer class of Latour but its power, breeding and structure arguably make it the most complete First Growth in 2007. It is a Cabernet-dominated Haut-Brion with 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Cabernet Franc alongside 43% Merlot. A majestic nose with bitter chocolate hints is followed by a palate of immense power (for 2007) with gloriously rich, sweet black fruit, minerals, tobacco and mocha and big but velvety tannins. Only 55% of the production - a blend of 61% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Cabernet Franc - has gone into the hedonistic Grand Vin. Enticing aromas of ripe, spicy plums and raisins with nuances of tobacco, minerals and vanilla entice you to take a sip. It is completely delicious, with notes of Swiss chocolate, sweet fruit, toast and cinnamon spice and fine tannins. An exceptionally pure, round and extremely polished wine. Drink 2015-2030. "The 2004 Chateau Margaux, which has put on weight since I tasted it a year ago, is a superb example of why in certain cool, late ripening vintages, the en primeur tastings are easily 4-6 weeks too soon. At the January, 2006 tasting, the wine exhibited a gorgeous nose of licorice, white flowers, black currant liqueur, and subtle new oak. This aromatic, medium to full-bodied, superbly concentrated Margaux reminds me of a lighter version of the 1996. Precise, extremely well-delineated, beautifully pure, and, as the French would say, tres Margaux, it should be at its apogee between 2009-2028." 92-94/100 points. 	Red, Cab.Sauvignon Blend, Ready, but will keep, "Deep plum, currant, and mineral notes emerge from the concentrated, beautifully balanced, pure 1999 Haut Brion. It seems to be cut from the same mold as years such as 1979 and 1985. There is a hint of graphite in the abundant fruit. The wine is medium to full-bodied, nuanced, subtle, deep, and provocatively elegant. It is made in a style that only Haut Brion appears capable of achieving. The finish is extremely long, the tannins sweet, and the overall impression one of delicacy interwoven with power and ripeness. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2025." 	Full Bodied, Sweet, White, Sauv.Blanc & Sémillon, Ready, but will improve, Organic (Not certified/in conversion), 14% alc. 2001 Yquem is one of the best wines this exalted estate has ever made and has been awarded the `perfect' score by ourselves and Robert Parker alike. This is breathtakingly complex, with a vibrant perfume of crème brûlée, white peaches, apricots, mustard seed and gorgeous light new oak which heralds the most magnificent mouthfilling essence. With the texture of melted butter, it feels more fresh, zingy and exciting than any wine you can imagine. If the nose and the palate aren't enough to blow you away, the 30 minute (at least) after-taste is ethereal. This is already approachable, but if you don't get round to opening the bottle this year you could cellar it until 2100! MORE BBR Score: 20/20. Parker Score: 100 /100.

	Full Bodied, Dry, Red, Cab.Sauvignon Blend, Ready, but will keep, 12.5% alc. An unusually high percentage of Merlot in the blend makes this a softer, more approachable Latour. It is nonetheless a powerful, intense wine that will need another 3 years before it is ready, but it will be worth the wait. You can already detect a fabulous purity of fruit and textbook cigar box and cassis; high tannins without astringency and a remarkable length. If you can resist, it will keep until 2030. MORE

The 1996 is a completely different wine to the slightly brutish 1995. This has an ethereal lightness to it. Approachable now though with many, many years ahead.
