Anwilka 2008 En Primeur

Anwilka Vineyard is a joint South African venture between Bruno Prats, former owner of Ch. Cos d'Estournel, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, co-proprietor of Ch. Angélus, and Lowell Jooste of Klein Constantia Estate.

The philosphy of the partners is simply to spare no cost when it comes to wine quality. Resources are not squandered on lavish gateways and buildings (there is no grand Bordeaux-esque château here) but instead are focused very much on the vineyard and the cellar. Extensive selections ensure that only perfectly healthy, ripe grapes go into the blend, whilst French-style winemaking and French oak barrels shipped straight from Bordeaux add elegance and flair.
