Bordeaux 06 - Parker Retastes
Robert Parker has released his completed scores and notes for "The Very
Good Vintage of 2006 Bordeaux" from bottle.
The scores and notes are (as expected) very high. When we tried the 2006s late last year, it was evident that there were some fantastic wines on display that, in some places, compete in qualitative terms with their 2005 counterparts whilst often being significantly cheaper. Whilst the overall vintage quality is not as good, or as sought after, as 2005 - there are some really great wines that have good potential for the future.
Wines of the Vintage / Investment Wines 5 - 10 years

Every year there is a battle royal between the two outstanding wines from dapper owner Prince Robert of Luxembourg, with First Growth Haut-Brion tending just to come out on top. Not so in 2006 where La Mission is definitely the star of the show. Its 2006 has an incredible depth and focus, with ... MORE BBR Score: 18/20 Parker Score: 95/100 | ||||
