Ch. La Guillaumette
Ch. Bealé-la Guillaumette is a 35-hectare property owned by Bernard Artigue and situated on the right bank of the Garonne river on south-facing slopes composed of clay and chalk.
Consultant Winemakers Hubert de Boüard, of Ch. Angélus fame, and Bernard Pujol achieve perfectly healthy, mature grapes through vineyard management techniques such as double-cane guyot pruning, leaf-thinning (in July and also mid-August) and green harvesting (or vendange verte) which limits the number of bunches of grapes per vine. After an extremely careful work in the vineyard, the wine, Ch. la Guillaumette, undergoes traditional ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels.
