Château Fayau
Château Fayau is located in picturesque old market town of
Cadillac, on the right bank of the Garonne river some 30 km upstream
from Bordeaux. The Fayau
vineyards are on the 1er Côtes, just outside the town of Cadillac, with
mainly southwest facing slopes, and a number of south-facing plots reserved for
the sweet Cadillac wines.
The château offers a variety of wine styles: White wines (from a blend of Sauvignon, Sémillon and Muscadelle) include a Graves (Château Boyrein), a (sweet) Cadillac (Château Fayau) and a Sauternes (under the label of Château Barbier).
Red wines labels comprise a Bordeaux Rouge and a 1er Côtes de Bordeaux (Chateau Fayau), a Bordeaux Superieur (Château Greteau), and two Graves wines (Château Boyrein and Château du Mouret) . The varietal blend is classic Bordeaux (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc).
