Plan De L'Om
Joël Foucou is one of the new breed of vignerons who have broken
free from the local co-operative and he has established a high-quality 15
hectare vineyard, Plan de l'Om, just
to the north-west of Montpellier.
The enclave of the Terrasses de Larzac is forging a fine reputation; its distinctive soils of schist and pudding stone yield wines which combine power and minerality. Joël is building a reputation for wines with a real sense of place, making use of the distinctive palette of indigenous varieties.
Cinsault, Carignan and Grenache make up 85% of the blend of the Oeillade.
