Domaine Des Espiers

Domaine Des Espiers was founded by Philippe Cartoux in 1989. The vineyards had then been owned by his family since 1879. The property owns 9,5 ha, located in Gigondas (3 ha), Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet and Cotes du Rhone.

Philippe Cartoux is married to the owner of Domaine de Montvac, Cécile Dusserre. Here he is responsible for the work in the vineyards. His Gigondas wine is made from 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah and is aged for 6 months in barriques.
 The Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet wine comprises  80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, whilst the Cotes du Rhone is 70% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah and is matured in cement tank.
