Pittyvaich Distillery, Speyside
The Pittyvaich Distillery started it s life in 1975 as part of the Bells
(later Diageo) group, and as a partner to the neighbouring Dufftown distillery.
Its production was exclusively used in the blends of the Diageo group.
Its brief life came to an abrupt end as soon as 1993. It was completely dismantled with no hope of re-opening again. The independent bottler James MacArthur had in the meantime released a 12-year old and a 14-year old in the late 1980's. Rare single malt versions can also be found in Diageo's Fauna & Flora collection.

Ready, but will keep,
43% alc.
Red-amber colour, perfumed nose that reveals sherry, pear skin hints and candied orange. Pittyvaich with a relatively discrete smell is seductive, as it is different from other classical Speysides thanks to its marked softness and perfume. | ||||
