Distillerie Metté
Distillerie Mette is based in
Alsace and it was founded by Jean Paul Metté in the early 1960s. Jean Paul
Metté is renowned thanks to the extremely wide range of eaux-de-vie produced
and above all to their exceptional quality.
Since the first distillation of a Mirabelle plum eau-de-vie, the range has now grown to encompass several unique and traditional eaux-de-vie creations from Old Mirabelle or Wild Raspberry and Wild Strawberry to Mullein Flower, Orange, Arabica Coffee, Pepper, Truffle, a ‘Hors d’Age’ Wild Sloe. The latest addition is a ‘Selected Noble Grapes’ Marc de Gewurztraminer. The list includes no less than 85 eaux-de-vie and 21 liqueurs.
Since 1985 the new generation has taken over the art of distilling, namely Philippe Traber, Jean Paul Metté's godson.
