Peter Michael Winery

Peter Michael Winery

Founded in 1982, Peter Michael Winery is situated on the slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains in Knights Valley, a subregion of Sonoma County known for its volcanic soil and excellent growing conditions. The winery’s estate vineyards are located at elevations ranging from 1,400 to 2,200 feet, providing a diverse range of microclimates and soil types.

With a commitment to estate-grown grapes, the estate cultivates several varieties across its various vineyard sites, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir. Their flagship Chardonnay, “Point Rouge,” and Cabernet Sauvignon, “Les Pavots,” consistently receive high ratings and praise from wine critics.

The winery places a strong emphasis on sustainable and organic farming practices. They believe in minimal intervention winemaking, allowing the unique characteristics of each vineyard and grape variety to shine through in the final wines. Their approach often involves the use of traditional Burgundian and Bordeaux winemaking techniques.
