The Russian Standard (aka Russky Standart) Vodka brand was founded by Roustam Tariko and is made By employing a centuries-old tradition recipe established in 1894 by Russian scientist Dimitri Mendeleev for Russia’s Czars.

Russian Standard Vodka is the among the best-selling premium vodka brands in Russia. The launch of the Russian Standard Original in 1998, was followed by two more lines, the Russian Standard Platinum in 2001, and Imperia Vodka, the company's luxury brand, in 2004.
