Domaine de Nembrets

Domaine des Nembrets is a fairly new domaine in Burgundy, created from the ancient vineyard holdings of the Barraud family, currently run by Denis Barraud, who is the fourth generation of Barrauds to produce wines from the original holdings in the town of Vergisson, a tiny domaine located in the hills of Mâcon.
 
The domaine’s holdings are spread across Pouilly Fuissé, Mâcon and Saint Veran, and despite their small size, Denis dedicates huge amounts of time to their upkeep and improvement, using organic methods to rejuvenate those plots which have fallen by the wayside.
 
The wines are exquisite examples of handcrafted whites, known for their freshness and minerality.
