Domaine de Lacquy
A property steeped in history and now producing some of the finest white wines in Gascony.
The estate is dominated by its stunning Louis X111 chateau and has been in the hands of the Count de Boisson`s family since 1711. It is located in the Landais region, an area more renowned for its truffles, foie gras, and Armagnac than for quality white wine production.
The vineyard is planted on a strata of soil enriched by ferrous oxide and marine sediment known as Sables Fauves. The wine is crisp, dry and displays an intensity and purity of fruit seldom found in Gascon whites.
