Grain Sauvage Blanc

Jurancon is a pretty village lying in the foothills of the Pyrenees near Pau in SouthWest France. Wine has been produced here since the Middle Ages and the vineyards are situated mainly on relatively high south facing slopes behind the village. Petit and Gros Manseng are the main grapes planted - the latter producing aromatic and mouth filling dry white wines that are amongst the most distinctive in the region.
