L'Ostal Cazes
L'Ostal Cazes was found by Jean
Michel Cazes, the doyen of Chateau Lynch Bages
in Bordeaux, who spent
several years in the early part of this century searching for the ideal terroir
to accompany his ‘Grand Vin de Bordeaux’.
In the sleepy hamlet of La Livinière, its famous bell tower surrounded by Cyprus Trees and green oaks, Jean Michel located just such a place. Already recognised and rewarded with its own superior appellation, Minervois la Livinière goes from strength to strength and is now recognised as the origin of some the best red wines in the South of France.
