Domaine Moulinier

Guy and his son Stéphane Moulinier farm 22 hectares over three villages in the fashionable wine appellation of St Chinian, itself located to the north of Béziers in the Hérault Départment. The villages in question are St Chinian itself, Pierrerue and Cazedarnes, which between them host all three of the  soil-types for which the appellation is well-known, namely clay and limestone, sandstone and schist.

The vineyards are surrounded by scrub and garrigue, its heather, rosemary and arbutus subtly influencing the aromatics of the wines. The vinification of the three key grape varieties (Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre) is conducted separately and after the maceration, the Tradition is aged in tank and the two senior cuvees (Sigillaires and Terrasses Grillées) in barrels for 12 months.
