F. Charvet
The former mayor of Chénas still turns out impressive wines with the assistance of his sons-in-law, Jacky Janodet and Gérard Descombes.
Fernand has 7 hectares of vineyard holdings divided between Moulin-à-Vent, Chénas and Saint Armour. He ferments in a combination of lined cement and stainless steel and ages his wines for 6 months in oak prior to bottling.
These are lush, silky, generous wines, which are delicious when young but can age well for up to 3 years.
