Neely

The Neely family's portfolio includes the Spring Ridge Vineyard which makes some of the best Chardonnay wines in the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation in California. Brothers Jim and Bob Varner make wines for the Varner collection as well as those sold under the Neely label.

The Neely wines are essentially selections sourced from the same parcels that produce the Varner wines. Robert Parker has rated several vintages in the 90-95 range. Pinot Noir is also becoming increasingly successful. Varner grow their Chardonnay in three "blocks", named Bee, Home and Ampitheater that are bottled separately.
