Domaine Fournier
Domaine Fournier Père et Fils is run by Paul (le père) and Claude and Jacques (les fils) Fournier. The domaine originally consisted of 2 hectares of vineyards in the small village of Verdigny in the Loire. In 1997 the Domaine planted vineyards around the village of Morgues in Menetou-Salon - today the Fourniers have over 50 hectares of vineyards in Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé and Menetou-Salon.
The winemaking is modern, with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and the wines bottled early and without seeing any wood. These are fruit-driven, crisp and pure examples of Sauvignon Blanc that offer terrific value for money.
