Domaine de la Loge, J-Yves Secher

Domaine de la Loge is now in the hands of the 5th generation of the Sécher family, with Jean-Yves Sécher now at the helm. The 30-hectare domaine is located on the banks of the Sanguèze, a small river near Vallet in the heart of the Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine region. The soils are rocky and schist-like here which results in more structured and long-lived wines than the average Muscadet.

In order to attain the perfect balance of acidity, fruit, and weight, the wines are bottled sur lie (without filtration to remove the sediment) in the year following the harvest.
