Schlossgut Diel
The Diel family has owned this famous Nahe estate since 1802. In 1987 television personality, restaurant critic and wine writer Armin Diel took control and quality has soared upwards ever since.
There are 15 hectares of vines comprising 70% Riesling, 20% Pinot Gris, 5% Pinot Blanc and 5% Pinot Noir.
While a lot of attention is focused on Armin`s new oak-aged Pinot wines, his best wines are without doubt his classic style Rieslings from Doersheim`s 3 best sites - Goldloch, Pittermännchen and Burgberg. Concentration, balance and elegance are the hallmarks of these wines, which are amongst the most sought-after in the Nahe today.
