William Grant & Sons

William Grant & Sons, established in 1887, produces a number of well-known brands of spirits, including Glenfiddich, Grant’s, Hendrick’s and Sailor Jerry.

A family company, William Grant & Sons first distillery was the Glenfiddich, and five years later the Balvenie was built alongside it.
The Glenfiddich distillery is located in Dufftown, Speyside in Scotland. Here, the whiskey is created using malted barley and spring water from the Robbie Dhu Springs, the same way it was made in 1887.

The Balvenie was founded in 1893, and has been owned and managed by William Grant & Sons for five generations. The high level of craftsmanship reflects in the quality of the Single Malt Scotch Whisky that is produced here. The Balvenie still grows its own barley, has traditional floor maltings and employs coopers and coppersmiths to maintain the casks and stills.

Four other distilleries are owned by William Grant & Sons; the Girvan and Ailsa Bay, which are built alongside one another on the south west coast of Scotland; and the Kinvinie and Tullamore D.E.W. distilleries.
