Château Couhins Lurton
Pessac-Léognan - owned by André Lurton, this 5.5 ha property produces on average 2,100 cases per year. Located in the north of the appellation, the property shares a similar climate to that enjoyed by the Médoc, although it tends to be slightly hotter with more rainfall. The vineyards (Sauvignon Blanc 100%) lie on gravelly soils. Vinification occurs in oak casks, 50% new, & there is no malolactic fermentation. It is classified as a `Cru Classé Blanc'.
