Domaine Lois Dufouleur
Overlooking the famous town of Beaune, this domaine was established by Philippe and Anne-Marie Dufouleur in 1978. It was name after their young son, Lois. Over the year the vineyards holdings have been built up and now the Dufouleurs have over 5 hectares of vines, including holdings in the Beaune 1er Cru Cent Vignes and Beaune Clos de Roi. The most recent addition to their holdings is a small parcel of vines in Beaune Clos de Perrieres which they have just replanted.
All the vineyard work is undertaken by Anne Marie while Philippe oversees the vinification, elevage and bottling. This domain produces finely balanced harmonious wines with impressive depth of fruit and surprisingly good concentration. They are wonderfully expressive, with great terroir definition and while difficult to resist when young have excellent ageing potential.
