Uiterwyk

Uiterwyk is nestled in one of the most picturesque valleys in Stellenbosch. More than 2 centuries ago this historic Cape Dutch Homestead was the "last output"(literal translation of the farm`s name) on the road between Cape Town and Stellenbosch.

The farm has been a De Wall family concern since 1864 - today it is run by 3 brothers; white winemaker Chris, Daniel, who is in charge of reds, and marketing man Pieter. Daniel`s innovative Cape Blend, using Pinotage as it main component is the first of its kind in South Africa. The wines from this farm are characterised by intense fruit character, elegance and balance.
