Avila
Avila is a well-established Californian wine
producer. It is named after Avila Bay in the central coast region of
California, which in turn is named after the legendary Spanish explorer, Don
Juan Avila. This scenic, sheltered bay in San Luis Obispo
County pulls cool maritime breezes over Avila's vineyards.
As these cool, calm breezes nurture the vines, they provide a favourably long growing season producing wines with profoundly concentrated flavours, colour and depth. Avila specialises in Burgundian varietals (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir)
