Domaine Laurent Tribut

Laurent Tribut is the son -in law of René Dauvissat and is now producing consistently high quality Chablis, both at village and 1er cru level. For many years, Laurent Tribut´s wines were actually made in the Dauvissat cellars but recently he has acquired his own cellars in Poinchy, just outside the town of Chablis.

The domaine consists of 5.2 hectares of vineyards, which includes holdings in three 1er crus; Beauroy, Côte de Lechet and Montmains. Yields are severely restricted in the vineyard while in the cuverie the winemaking here is traditional, with the grapes being fermented in temperature-controlled enamelled tanks, with the wines then being matured in old oak barrels. The wine are characterised by the their balance and minerality, with the 1er crus requiring 4-5 years of bottle ageing to show at their best
