Ramsay
Carneros, Napa County- second label of Kent Rasmussen (his wife's maiden name), used particularly for imported varietals such as Sangiovese, Petite Sirah, & Mourvedre. Carneros overlaps Napa & Sonoma but is quite distinct in its climate: foggy (helping to conserve acidity) & windy(reduces risk of rot) due to its proximity to the San Pablo Bay, the region is famously dry (Region I-II, similar heat summation as Auckland, NZ). The soil is predominantly clay.
