Az. Agr. Elio Perrone
The Perrone family has been producing Moscato on the hills of Castiglione Tinella since the end of the 19th century. Stefano Perrone, a retired champion motorcross racer, took over the domaine in 1989 and introduced a new commitment to producing grapes of the highest quality accompanied by rigorous vinification techniques in the cellar.
The 8.5 hectares of vineyards are all planted on well-exposed sites 360 metres above sea level. Although Chardonnay and Barbera are grown the domaine's formidable reputation rests on its two Moscatos; Sourgal, released in late November, and its best wine, Clarté, which is released in April. A mere 650 cases of Clarté are made each year.
