Warden Vineyard

Warden Vineyard is located 45 miles north of London in Bedfordshire. Vines were cultivated at the Cistercian Abbey of Warden in Bedfordshire as far back as the 12th century, but with the dissolution of the monasteries in 1542, the vineyards became totally neglected and wine production ceased. In 1986 a tiny 1.8 hectares of the original vineyard was replanted and in 1990 the first wines of Warden Vineyard were produced.

The Warden Vineyard Dry White is a blend of Bacchus, Regner, Reichsteiner and Madeline Angevine and is one of the most distinctive English white wines being produced today. It is often served at Downing Street receptions.
