Joostenberg Farm is situated in the heart of the Muldersvlei winegrowing region of South Africa.

The family are related to the Meerlust Myburghs, sharing the same great-great-grandfather in Philippus Albertus Myburgh, originally of Meerlust, who married the owner of Joostenberg's daughter in 1879 and bought the ex-dairy farm, situated on the border of Stellenbosch & Paarl.

Located on granitic rocky, gravelly soils over heavy clay, their 33ha farm is split 35% red, 50% white, 15% sweet white.
