Château de France
Château de France is situated just south of Léognan and its vineyards are sandwiched between those of Château Malartic- Lagravière. It was bought by Bernard Thomassin in 1971 and he replanted virtually the entire vineyards as well as installing a brand new cuverie.
The wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, which is aged in oak barriques (50% new) for between 12 and 18 months.
Elegant, refined and very well balanced, Château de France is now producing high class Graves clarets that represent outstanding value for money.
