Château Guiraud-Grimard
The Côtes de Bourg appellation covers just under 4000 hectares of vineyards, which surround the town of Bourg on the right bank of the Gironde. `Il ne gèle ni ne grêle` (it neither freezes nor hails) is a well-known saying in Bourg and the favourable weather conditions, coupled with the calcium-rich soils and well-exposed vineyards, make it ideal for viticulture.
Château Guiraud-Grimaud. produces consistently good quality, fresh, supple wines that are designed for relatively early drinking. Its wines typically display good colour, lots of chunky and fleshy Merlot fruit and well-balanced tannins.
