Château Gros Caillou

This is a small Estate by St-Estephe standards with only 5 hectares of vineyards. However what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality - its vineyards lie a pebble`s throw from Chateau Calon-Segur and Chateau Montrose and are planted predominately with Cabernet Sauvignon - many of these vines are 65-70 years old. The final blend usually includes around 10% Merlot. These are well-crafted wines that display lovely Cabernet fruit flavours of blackcurrants, spices and cherries allied with well integrated oak new French oak.
