Château Rouet
Fronsac is one of Bordeaux`s most underrated appellations, often producing wines of depth and complexity at a fraction of the price of its more prestigious Libournaise neighbours.
Château Rouet is one of the best known estates in Fronsac and is located on the western side of the appellation at St-Germain-de-la-Riviere. It is owned by Patrick Danglade and has a beautiful 18th century château and 12 hectares of vineyards.
The wine is a blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. It is matured in oak barrels (5% new) for 15 months.
