Château Bertineau St. Vincent
Château Bertineau St.Vincent comprises a 4-hectare vineyard well sited in the small appellation of Lalande de Pomerol. It is owned by guru oenologist Michel Rolland, who also owns Bon Pasteur and Fontenil, as well as acting as consultant for more than 50 other Bordeaux properties.
The vineyard is planted with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness and are then vinified at Bon Pasteur. The wine is matured in small oak barrels and is then bottled unfiltered. Typically the wines are deeply coloured, well structured and display notes of black fruits and minerals. The wines tend to show at their best with at least 5 years of bottle age.
