At the end of the 18th century Nicola Petrera identified the Gioia del Colle as prime viticultural territory, a formerly ancient strait linking the Ionian & Adriatic Seas rich with clay & limestone deposits.

Descendant Filippo has preserved both the passion & the tradition. Organically farmed, the estate fruit is labelled under the ‘Fatalone’ name, traditionally vinified with several rackings, laconically aged to reveal rich tobacco notes.
