Domaine des Herbauges

Regular medal winners, Luc and Jérôme Choblet's achievements belie their more than apparent shyness. Since the purchase of the parcelle of the old vines of the Fief Guérin, Domaine des Herbauges now totals 72 hectares and is the uncontested driving force behind the increasingly succesful Côtes de Grandlieu Cru.

The vineyards are run according to the strictest rules of La Lutte Raisonnée. Using the microclimate provided by the 7000 hectare 'storage heater' effect of the Lac de Grandlieu, Luc acheives a natural ripeness in the vines that is reflected in the rich fruit of his wines.
